Warning: given that everyone uses a cell phone and keeps it relatively close to their body at one point or another any given day, the following may be controversial.
It turns out that the wave upon which sound is carried from a cell tower to your cell phone is close to the same wavelength as a microwave. That wave may or may not be as destructive to body tissue as microwaves are, however it may have the same affect as what are called “optical tweezers,” essentially pushing or pulling small particles such as cells around which could certainly be dangerous.
Even with any possible chance of danger with cell phones, it is alarming to me to walk into a treatment room and have a woman who is working on becoming pregnant having her cell phone over her reproductive organs!
Our suggested solution: keep your cell phone as far away from the physical body as possible at all times. Using a headset is advisable. (better to be safe than sorry, right?)
